There are potentially around 5000 Alleyn’s Old Boys who were of the right age to fight in World War One. So far around 1900 have been identified from the Edward Alleyn Magazine, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, School Admissions Records and School War Memorials.

The 1901 and 1911 census and War Office Service and Pension records have been used by the pupils to research the lives and civilian and military careers of Alleyn’s Old Boys.

All the boys that have been identified are listed on this site, while those for whom more information could be obtained have more detailed biographies. Some of these include photographs.
