Vincent W. Bailey

Vincent Bailey was a student at Alleyn's until 1913. During this time, he lived at 11 Townley Road, Dulwich. He enlisted in the British Expeditionary Force upon the outbreak of war in August 1914 and joined the infantry as part of the Wiltshire Regiment. He saw service overseas on the Eastern Front, notably at Gallipoli. Vincent took part in numerous operations during the Dardanelles campaign until he went missing in action on August 10^th 1915. He was later assumed to have been killed. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial in Turkey.
