Frank Cabburn

Frank Cabburn lived at 39 Mayfield Road, Sanderstead and attended Alleyn's until 1915. He joined the war effort as part of the Royal Air Force and served in France as a Lieutenant at the age of 19. After only seven weeks overseas, he was brought down while on patrol duty over German lines on June 25th 1918. The German Army was highly active on the Western Front at this point after the launch of their Spring Offensive in April 1918. Frank is buried at Fouquescourt Cemetery in France.
