Daniel James Frank Dredge

Daniel James Frank Dredge was a student at Alleyn’s until 1913 and lived at 88 Woodware Road, Dulwich during this time. He joined the war effort as part of the Royal Field Artillery and served overseas on the Western Front as a gunner. In January 1918, he was serving at the front in France when he was wounded in action and taken to No. 29 Casualty Clearing Station. He later died of the wounds he received on January 31st 1918, at the age of 21. He is commemorated on the Grevillers Memorial.
