Charles Morton Hearn lived at 10 King’s Road, Peckham and joined the war effort as part of the London Regiment. During his time with the regiment, he served overseas on the Western Front as a Private and saw action in France and Flanders. In 1916, he was serving in France when he was killed in action on January 27th 1916 while attending to a wounded comrade. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial but he has no known grave.
