James Macgregor

Private, Royal Fusiliers

James Macgregor was a student at Alleyn’s and lived at 20 Fawnbrake Avenue, Herne Hill during this time. He joined the war effort as part of the Royal Fusiliers and served overseas on the Western Front as a Private. In 1916, he was serving in France when he was killed in action near Cambrin on February 13^th 1916. He is buried at Cambrin Churchyard Cemetery.
