Harry William Kirkland Mason

Private, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment)

Harry William Kirkland Mason was a student at Alleyn’s until 1901 and joined the war effort as part of the Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). During his time with the regiment, he served as a Private on the Western Front and saw action in France and Flanders. In 1918, he was serving in France at the time of the German Spring Offensive when he was killed in action on April 24th 1918. He is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
