Walter Harold Morris

Aircraftman (1^st Class), Royal Air Force

Walter Harold Morris lived at Brambledown Road, Wallington and was a student at Alleyn’s until 1901. He joined the war effort as part of the Royal Air Force and served as an Aircraftman, 1^st Class on the Eastern Front. During his time overseas, Walter served in Egypt and was involved in a number of operations against the forces of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. After the end of the conflict, he returned home to England but later died of influenza and pneumonia just a few days later on March 22^nd 1919. He is buried at Bandon Hill Cemetery.
