Walter Harold Morris

Aircraftman (1st Class), Royal Air Force

Walter Harold Morris lived at Brambledown Road, Wallington and was a student at Alleyn’s until 1901. He joined the war effort as part of the Royal Air Force and served as an Aircraftman, 1st Class on the Eastern Front. During his time overseas, Walter served in Egypt and was involved in a number of operations against the forces of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. After the end of the conflict, he returned home to England but later died of influenza and pneumonia just a few days later on March 22nd 1919. He is buried at Bandon Hill Cemetery.
