T. A. Powell
Private, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers)
T. A. Powell lived at 116 Denmark Hill and was a student at Alleyn's until 1906. He married his wife, Majorie Horrell, in December 1914, shortly after deciding to join the war effort as part of the London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers). During his time with the Fusiliers, Powell served as a Private overseas on the Western Front. In 1915, he wrote a letter home detailing his experience abroad which was later published in the Edward Alleyn Magazine in March. To read Powell's letter click here.
