Charles Robert Rawbone

2nd Lieutenant, Royal Flying Corps

Charles Robert Rawbone lived at 4 Templar Street, Camberwell and was a student at Alleyn’s until 1915. After leaving school, he joined the war effort as part of the Royal Flying Corps and served as a 2nd Lieutenant. In 1917, he was training in Northamptonshire when he was involved in a flying accident which he left him badly wounded. Unfortunately, he later died of his injuries on December 18th 1917. He is buried at Lambeth (Tooting) Cemetery.
