J. E. Reid 

2nd Lieutenant, London Regiment (London Scottish)

J. E. Reid was a student at Alleyn's until 1913 and joined the war effort early on as Private with the London Regiment (London Scottish). In 1915, he wrote home about his experience serving abroad and noted that he had met up with several Old Boys at the front, two of which were serving in the same Platoon as him. By the end of the war, Reid had been granted a commission with the London Scottish and was serving with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
