S. T. Rooke

2nd Lieutenant, Royal Marine Artillery (Woolwich)

S. T. Rooke was a student at Alleyn's until 1916 and was a House Prefect and a Sergeant in the Cadet Corps during his time at school. He joined the war effort in 1916 after passing the Woolwich entrance examination and received the rank of 2nd Lieutenant after completing his officer training. In July 1917, he returned to Alleyn's to visit along with fellow Old Boys, F. C. Picton and W. J. Beach.
