Victor F. Sheppard
Private, London Regiment (Prince of Wales’ Own Civil Service Rifles)
Victor F. Sheppard was a student at Alleyn’s until 1905 and lived at 80 Acre Lane, Brixton. He joined the war effort as part of the London Regiment (Prince of Wales’ Own Civil Service Rifles) and saw service on the Western Front in France and Flanders. In 1918, he was serving near Ypres during the Hundred Days Offensive when he was killed in action on August 23rd 1918. Victor is buried at Bailleul Cemetery.
