Percy E. Slingo 

Lieutenant, Royal Engineers

Percy E. Slingo was a student at Alleyn's until 1904 and joined the war effort as part of the Royal Engineers, serving as a Lieutenant and later a temporary Captain. In 1919, he was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry during active operations against the enemy.
