N. G. F. Snelling

N. G. F. Snelling was a student at Alleyn's until 1894 and joined the war effort as part of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, serving as a Lieutenant-Commander. Snelling served throughout the war and was awarded an OBE for his military service in 1918.
