Jeffrey Noel Talbot

Lieutenant, East Lancashire Regiment

Jeffrey Noel Talbot lived in Brackenhurst, Merton and joined the war effort after being granted a commission with the East Lancashire Regiment. After completing his officer training, Jeffrey received the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and was sent for service overseas. After gaining some experience at the front, he received a promotion to Lieutenant, the rank he would serve with until the end of the war. In 1919, his gallantry during active operations against the enemy saw him awarded the Military Cross.
