Reginald Toon

Private, Royal Sussex Regiment

Reginald Toon was a student at Alleyn's until 1900 and joined the war effort in 1914 as part of the Royal Sussex Regiment. During his time with the Sussex, Reginald served overseas on the Western Front as a Private and saw action in France. In 1917, he was serving at the front shortly after the launch of the Battle of Messines when he was killed in action on June 10th 1917. He is buried at St Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'Avoue.
