Never Such Innocence Competition - 2014
In 2014, Alleyn's students took part in the Never Such Innocence competition to commemorate the centenary of the Great War. The competition asked students to choose a topic related to the First World War and produce a piece of art or compose a poem that conveyed their thoughts and feelings. The competition was split into secondary and primary school entries and each piece of work was judged by a panel of four judges. Each work of poetry or art had the opportunity to win first, second, third or a runner up place in the competition. Overall, 183 art entries and 376 poetry entries were submitted to Never Such Innocence competition. Alleyn's was recognised by the judges for the high standard of poetry and art submitted and each pupil that entered was awarded a certificate of commendation for their work.
